When people ask why MusoFi exists, they often assume the story begins with technology. It doesn't. It begins with people.
As a working musician, I have experienced both the joy of making music and the difficulties of building a professional career around it. Behind every performance are schedules to manage, finances to reconcile, opportunities to pursue, relationships to build, and countless responsibilities that extend well beyond the stage.
For the last five years I have been lucky to perform with, and among, some of the most talented musicians the world has to offer. What often seemed to be missing was not talent or passion, but an organization intentionally designed to strengthen the people behind the music. Musicians are small businesses — and even though our work brings us joy and purpose, there are still clerical duties that need to be done, and that's where the problems start for many musicians.
MusoFi was created to make life easier for those musicians. It is not simply an app or a collection of programs. It is a professional membership organization where technology, education, community, partnerships, and trusted resources come together to help musicians build sustainable, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
Just as importantly, MusoFi is built on the belief that members strengthen members. By mentoring one another, sharing opportunities, collaborating, volunteering, and building community together, musicians can leave the profession stronger than they found it.
If, years from now, a musician joins MusoFi and finds not only practical tools but also trusted relationships, meaningful opportunities, and a community that leaves them feeling more confident, connected, supported, and hopeful than when they arrived — then we will have fulfilled our purpose.
